Brisbane-based driver Liam Talbot will become the first Australian to complete a full Blancpain Endurance Series in 2015.
After competing in the final two events of last season, Talbot is set to return with Ferrari squad Kessel Racing for the full five-round schedule.
The son of the late mining magnate Ken Talbot is currently preparing for the official BES test at Paul Ricard, France, from March 11-12.
Taking up racing as a gentleman driver three years ago at the age of 30, Talbot is quickly gaining GT3 experience as he shoots for his goal of racing a prototype at Le Mans.
“I’m excited to be working with Kessel Racing again in 2015,” he said.
“We had a great year building our endurance racing in 2014 and now it’s time to focus on a championship.
“This is my first test at Paul Ricard, so I’m looking forward to getting back on track after two months off.
“I’ve spent plenty of time on the simulator in preparation, so the challenge now is to lay down some
“The team at Kessel run an exceptional program and the 458 is a sensational platform for endurance racing, being predictable and consistent during the long endurance races.”
The BES gets underway at Monza on April 11-12.
