Another day, another amazing motorsport adventure for team LTR. And after a 21 hour flight, 17 hour stopover in KL, quick bounce-down in Paris to offload some luggage then almost missing our flight due to a fantastic taxi and rail strike in Paris, we’ve finally touched down in London.
Note to self, never try and catch a taxi in Paris. I guess the upside is we quickly got into race mode sprinting for the check-in counter with seconds to spare – definitely should have received a trophy for that effort. Hmmm maybe team LTR should join The Amazing Race.
Meanwhile the London Underground mimicked the starting grid of the Nurburgring 24 Hour Race, with hundreds of bodies crammed in, fighting for position for over an hour…so that was some great endurance training getting ready for the big race.
Our Shotz energy bars kept our fuel levels topped up throughout the journey from the land down under – thanks Shotz!
Over the next few weeks we’ll be embarking on a bunch of once-in-a-lifetime experiences here in Europe, including racing for Aston Martin in the Nurburgring 24 Hour, and we’d love to share them with you. First stop is a private tour of the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Facility in Brackley, UK…..
